Whats the best way to clean/shine the aluminum ford motorsport valve covers that you have found?

Also, any ideas to clean/remove the black mold looking stuff that has accumulated on the interior of the closed engine bay and the sides surrounding it due to having a cover over the boat when not in use...being in florida thats a real battle to control...

thanks...

if you want to make anything aluminum shine, you need to sand it to remove any scratches and oxidation, keep moving up in grit until you get into the 1000-3000 range and then use a buffing wheel either on a bench grinder, dremel, etc with some polishing rouge.

careful... once you get something shiney, you'll want everything shiney.  its an addiction.
