Single axle trailer
« on: March 22, 2014, 12:43:26 PM »
Anyone ever converted from a single axle to dual axle trailer? Is it cost effective? What's involved as far as placement of the additional axle. Where's the best place to get parts.  I'd like to see chrome fenders on it. Or should I just get steel ones from tractor supply and just paint them

I almost want to say you can buy a tandem axle trailer for what you would have in parts for this one....at least a solid trailer to start with.
But you would still need to have the bunks moved to fit your hull...
I would say rehabbing a tandem trailer would be "easier" and more cost effective assuming you're gonna do the work and you don't put any real value on your own time.
