This weekend I got a couple things done on the trailer. A went to a buddies shop an to have some fab work done. I wanted to re-work my fenders b/c they were really sloppy and not very well mounted. So I decided I wanted to re-inforce how they were mounted, and I figured while we were diong that, we could suck them down towards the tire an inch or two to create a lowered look for my trailer. It came out just like I wanted, plus now the fenders are way more solid and we re-inforced what I call the step plates (the platforms on either side of the fender on a trailer).
I also wanted to add a rubber wheel on the front of my trailer to ensure that the boat could never hit the trailer. I recently noticed a small scratch on the boat right were there was a cross member on the trailer so I knew the could make contact but I could not get it to do it. But I figured that if I put a rubber wheel there it could never happen again.
And while we put on the rubber wheel we re-worked how the floater bar set up works. I also re-wired the trailer this weekend, so now all that is left for the trailer is to get it painted but I dont plan on doing that anytime real soon, at least for now it is fully functional and much stronger.
Here are a couple pics for you guys.
They are in this order;
Fenders Before
Fenders After
Two pics of floater bar after (sorry no before pics)
