What is the thought on nitrous? Is it worth putting on my boat?

My engine is pretty fast I would just love to have that little extra to play with. Not looking for excessive horse power all the time. That's why I'm asking.

Is that Olds going to like the extra rpm and load? As long as the bottom end is built for it squeeze on. I have a 200 shot on my boat and max rpm goes from 6400 on the motor to about 7600 on the juice. But my motor was built for the excessive load/rpm from the nitrous. With that being said I seldom use it because it already a thill ride on just the motor.

Yea I just built the motor last winter. Has the nodular crank all arp bolts big cam forged pistons. I have every confidence in this engine. Well I guess what I'm saying it's too late. I already purchased the kit.

Well then bolt that thing on and spray away. Just make sure you enough fuel and retard the timing and have some fun👍👍👍

Since you have the motor built right and know it can handle the bottle, your next step should be to make sure the fuel system can handle the bottle to. I run a mechanical pump for just motor, then when i wanna run the bottle i shut one gas tank off and flip a switch that turns my holley blue electric pump on.vp110 on motor and c12 on bottle.

Yea I also purchased a timing retard box that will retard the timing when the motor is being squeezed. I'm excited It should be here today for pick up!!! Thanks for your inputs. I am running an electric fuel pump so the delivery should be good.

So me and my brother are working on his boat setting up the nitrous system.  He has a built olds 455.  It's a lot of custom work and we like to make it clean.  We are not done yet but time is everything when you are setting up something like this.  Also a lot of research comes with it.  We built the motor at first to add if wanted to.  There is a lot at involve and not just a bolt on.  Yeah you can slap shit together but not how me and my brother like to do.  We got the fuel lines done and half the wiring done.  Still have at lease a weekend and a couple of cases of beer. But we are getting there.  Here are some pictures of what we have done and took time on.  To my brother this thing will be bad ass.  Can't wait to get on the water to test.  :-)
