I had a 76 brendella bubble deck that was an exact splash of your sanger. It had no foam. im suprised to see you only have 1/4 stringers mine had full length 1x3 springers. man I miss that boat but I mushroomed a couple valves in the engine and put my foot through the sub floor within seconds of eachother and took it as a sign to move on. let me see if I can find a pic of her

 The Brendella bubble deck was not a splash of a Sanger.  The Sanger is wider, has lots more room, and a different bottom.  The Brendella did (from what Ive seen) use the same (or very similar) bottom as the Hondo and Cole T decks though. 

Ever hear of any issues with the 1/4 stringer Sangers? It seems to have a pretty stout floor...

X2 ,  Haven't heard of any issues with them, plus yours looks like its in really good shape. So don't worry about it.

just a thought, if you glass the wood directly to the hull it will eventually crack the hull.

I am not glassing the bases into place, I am glassing the aluminum into place. Then the bases will screw fasten to to the aluminum. Where I am glassing the brackets is not on the hull but on the floor. The reason I am not screwing it to the floor is I dont want to penetrate the floor and allow water to get to the wood and sencond I dont know how thick the floor is right there. I would be really pissed if I screwed into the hull.....

If I may be so bold, If I were you, I would prime the bare aluminum with some zinc based primer, it used to be a perfect job for zinc chromate, but hard to find these days...Aluminum oxidizes at a horrendous rate and I think if you are going to attach glass directly to the aluminum, you may have issues...

Another thought might be to just glass some hardwood blocks to the floor an bolt to those, fiberglass resin does not stick too well to bare aluminum...The blocks might be less work...I do totally agree with not wanting to drill through a good floor, if you do, seal the holes up very well with a marine grade caulk, not silicone. 

Another little tidbit, make sure the aluminum is really rough before priming it so there is more surface area for the resin to soak in to...

Project looks badass, never though of using composites before....

Looks great! I love that coil cover! Little banquet to add a touch of class! Reminds me I need to get off the computer and get something done on this boat.. 

got a bunch done over the weekend. I forgot to take pictures until i was done. here is a hit list of what got done:

ran all control cables
mounted throttle, place and forward reverse
laid carpet
carpeted new seat bases
90% done on re-wiring boat

looks great 

got my tanks back from the polisher, they look real nice! everything is coming together in time for river season
