Hitch Light Project..
« on: November 22, 2009, 06:46:19 PM »
Ok. This is for plowing. Yes we have a real Winter here in the Northeast. I wanted to see better backing up when I plow my accounts. So I made this light hitch assembly out of scrap and my buddy gave me the lights. I had a relay and wires that I will adapt to the 7 pin trailer harness. The only thing I had to buy was the trailer connector from West Marine and it was the cheapest thing I bought from them all for 5.29. Yup that is all I have into this thing. I will also be making a protector for these so when I back into a snow bank I will not smash the lights. This will also serve as a hitch step and a protector for my trailer plug. I might also put an LED stop light I found in my box of stuff (last pic).

That's pretty cool tj I could use something like that for backing up, because my windows are blacked out...simple yet effective...those are some nice looking welds too

TJ, do you EVER do something simple and HillJack enough to NOT make us feel inferior?  ;D

Dude, AWESOME workmanship and forethought, as always.  :banghead: Damn I'm jealous, lol.

PS My Pops does plowing back in PA also, he might be interested in your lil invention there.
