Title: Project Rogers
Post by: rogers roost on July 25, 2007, 08:11:59 PM
ok mama let me have some cash to upgrade the cyclone. >:D i was thinking about the ars rooster booster, or should i run a diverter snoop ( to get the roost), sport scoop, and a edlb. victor for my 455? and what is the best kind of steering cable for a rack & pin...?

History:full roller olds 455 w/mondelo 10 quart pan, edl. perform. holley 850 dpber., basset twisties, and jb pump w/ 3 deg wedge and diverter. Impeller ? I guess a A cut stainless... At least thats what old boy told me who I got the boat from... ???

I want roost and top end is the man. and the snoop w/ the intake scoop going to make me happy?

i really want that set up oc has for sale (twin turbo 454) !!! but still have to have money for beer!

Right on, finaly a quality boater here.  :P  Did I mention how many beers I've had?   :P  I've got a Rogers Bonneville, 1975 - not on the water yet, came with a 455 and a 12JB... 3 degree wedge as well... no, that was on Brad's 1971 Cyclone Rogers, which should be real similar boat to yours. Welcome!

In the search bar type in Rootin Tootin Raspberry.   ;)  :D  (top right)

"Build it and the BEER will come"

I am sure if you had a nice Twin Turbo setup(hint hint) that people wouldnt have a problem trading 12 packs for a boat ride!

Still open for offers...Damn I am getting as bad a CHROMEY, pimping my stuff in every post, what have I become? Oh ya, a Desperate man...Need $$$ for my boat project

whats a rooster booster?

Some sort of fancy wedge, gives the diverter more up movement and less down movement...

It's just a big ass wedge . I have experimented with wedging and unfortunatly my boat hated it . All I got was a huge roostertail and sacraficed a ton of MPH and ride went south too . You rogers will more that likley benefit from a droop snoot.

Put some wegdes in there to fine tune and your good to go . Big rooster tails and top end speed dont go hand in hand . It's one or the other. Dont forget , the berkeley droop already has a 4* up pin angle built in which makes a pretty good sized rooster tail and makes up for the 4* that your intake has built in . The beauty of the split bowl is the ability to fine tune this set up . GPS it before any and all adjustments to really see how the rogers likes what .
