bring it....bitch

Me and Ralph got the cruiser running on it's own gas tonight....the fuel system threw us a bit of a curveball, until we realized that the tank selector didn't open the line to each tank, but rather, closed the lines to both tankes regardless of which was selected.  Nothing a piece of tube and and some hoseclamps couldn't fix.  After watching Ralph's syphoning skilz, I'd advise everyone to show up with locking gas caps on father's day weekend.

i'll let Ralph tell you about our carb adventures......that was a good trick....but nothin get's by us....specially when I'm half drunk.

I'll still have a better rooster tail.  Put yer shit away Brad..it's not worth the effort trying to beat me.

The throttle plate is on backwards.I dont know if I would be running that like that.Makes me wounder what else is wrong with it.Looks like I would be rebuilding it.

Primary vent tube is cut and/or jacked up, or secondary as it looks set up, linkage looks bent up. Dunno, you're the pro here Ralph.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ winner
so we took it apart to put the plate on rite and the power valve was in the secondary :screwy:

this is just how this whole build is going :screwy:

why do people put ford parts on a chebby ??? tried to figure out the spagetti they called wiring and any thing we did we could not get it to go. so we took off the external FORD starter solinoid and bam she had power. pat already told you about the fuel valve :screwy:

been to lazy to update so here goes.
took the boat to marine stadium as you know, so we stop and top off the tanks and proceed to go to the stadium. when we get there  we stop at the restroom so my wife and kid can handle their business before an afternoon on the water. I decide to do a walk around on the boat, i get to the back of the boat and smell gas, so i look inside and find lots of gas in the bildge :screwy:  so i start looking for the hose that i put on that should be leaking ???, nope not there :sly: so i continue searching and low and behold the forking fuel sending unit is leaking from the top of the tank. so i grab a wrench and tighten the screws best i can, wife comes out and says it smells like fuel!! rut-roh :-\ i tell here what happened and i fixed it (i think) now we continue to the launch ramp so  i can flush the bildge, the only problem with this is that the ramp sits at an angle and the sender is towards the rear of the tank so more fuel is running out :banghead: :screwy:

so i just pull the bildge plug and fill the boat up with lots of water and pull the boat out and run the bilge pump and pump all that shit out while i think about my options ??? when boat is level no fuel leaks, so once i launch it the fuel will stop

so i unstap the boat and back it in again, get in and she fires rite up  and i motor over to the little beach to do a leack check, this sum bitch is taking on water 2 little gysers (sp?) faster than my bildge pump can keep up
