Title: Scooped up a new project
Post by: badlx on February 13, 2016, 02:36:54 PM
Its a 73 Miller. Got it from a guy on the boards here. It is rough, but its a miller, and i love the shape of it.

Planning a major tuneup.
Then a lake test
Then
Fix all the small things.
Carpet
Interior

I already gave it a color sand, polish, and wax.
And some new tires.

Here are some pics

The interior is wasted, and ive never had to make new wood for the seats, so that will be fun.

If the wood isn't completely wasted, you can strip it all down and use the existing wood as a template. Thats if you want to keep the same lay out.
If youre feeling really froggy and want to try and do it yourself, I have an industrial upholstery machine ill sell cheap

Im going to dig into it this week. Hopefully i can just repair a few pieces of wood and not have to do the whole thing over.

That keeps my wife happy. Haha. Right now i have 7 project cars, two boats, five motorcycles, plus our daily drivers, and my hot rod.

I have to have a few listed for sale. Other wise i get the "hoarder" speech.

Haven't had any response as of yet. Was thinking maybe 200. I'll get exact specs either this weekend or next when I go to my shop, and I'll let you know

ordered up a dipstick for the motor, the one that was in there was the wrong one... also ordered up a set of plug wires.

cur them to fit and put in the dipstick... i need to make a order for hardware, there is a bunch missing and the rest are all mismatched... but it runs, idle oil pressure is at 25, not sure if i need to look into that, or try a thicker oil... seems a little low.

also need to find either some hardin logs for a 455 or some headers or something. the logs on it are cracked around the header bolts and it has exhaust leaks.
