Post by: jayare92 on December 15, 2014, 11:29:32 PM
So right now my boat has this goofy honda civic looking steering wheel from when i got it. Im looking around for a new one. Will i have to buy a new hub also and if so what hub would i need to use? I have a steering helm system if that helps any. The first pic is my current wheel 2nd is the one im looking to buy.

You will need to figure out how many bolts your current setup uses to mount the wheel and the go to cp performance or Rex marine and get a hub to mount the wheel.

i dont believe i see any bolts. It looks like its just pressed onto a 3/4 tapered shaft as i need to get a steering wheel puller to get it off.

So i got my steering wheel off finally. All thats used is a 3/4 tapered bolt with a keyway. Now to order my new wheel. What hub would i need? My current wheel didnt have any hub at all it was just a plastic cover behind the wheel.

It will look like this and you have to get a hub to match the bolt pattern of the steering wheel
