I'm using a 3m respirator the front 8 feet were easy the last 4 feet is super thick where the motor sits. I will get better pictures tomorrow

If you can get a real sharp chisel and find the ends of the roving, you should be able to peel it like wallpaper. Really tough, really stuck wallpaper.
In some cases I can peel nearly 90% of the glass needing to be removed.
Then you can simply scruff the area, clean it with some MEK and start assembly.
