What's the best way to rinse out an aluminum fuel tank for welding?

It should be washed out thoroughly with denatured alcohol, several times, washed out with soapy water, several times, then welded full of water under a nitrogen or Co2 purge. Very, very dangerous...

In all honesty, it is something best left to the pros.

Thanks Glenn, my buddy is going to be doing all the welding he has every welding cert I think one can acquire. We do a lot of trick welding on Zirconium and other combustible materials. I'm just not in that department enough to know the loop holes and wanted to start prepping these tanks. And didn't want to interrupt Vday incase he's tied up with women dutys. I will start the flushing process.
