Hey there... my name is Joe and I guess you can say I’m a newbie....I’m out here always looking at the beautiful boats that everybody on this website has. I have a 1985 Youngblood FX19 and it’s an ok jet boat but what I was wanting to no is the back of your boat you have those platforms with the steps on them. And I love that because my wife’s biggest bitch is “ Well If You Get Out Of The Boat, How The Hell Ya Getting Back In” and I hate to say it but she is right...LOL... I’m almost 50 and I can’t do what I did when I was 25... so anyway sorry so long but I was hopping you might be able to steer me in the right direction. Thank You So Much for your time and again. What a Beautiful boat you have there. Have a bless evening. PS... here is a few pics of mine so you can see what I have to work with.

Hey joe, I’m sure you could find some aftermarket swim steps for your boat. They’re kind of universal. Mine are fiberglass with teak wood inserts, and a small tubular stainless frame . Stainless Bolts thru the transom and fiberglass is bolted to the tubes .

Here is mine. 79 nordic. Berkeley jet. Stainless B. Inducer. Ride plate droop & FTN place diverter. Detailed bowl & impeller. 625 hp 468. Hope to be done in May.

Got the pressure relief water dump mounted port side and installed all new HPS water lines as well as picked up the exhaust from the chromers! Lots more to do but I’m thinking a couple more solid days and she’s ready!

Going to replace the original 37amp Motorola alternator. Any suggestions on a reliable marine replacement? Would like a chrome or black one.

Winter project began with the family dog eating into the 1974 KONA black carpet, what the hell, time to gut out the rotten entire insides(sponge floor), then because there were 2 layers of flooring, 1 not walked on(not jet boat stringers supporting big block), eliminate the single stringer design by adding 2 more stringers for 1 single floor(3 new stringers & stiffer hull). I'll add the final finished photos over these last 4 weekends to come, blue carpet(cooler feet), stronger transom, functioning bilge pump, rewired electrical, reengineered lighter stronger seating, shorter sidewalls(beer/speakers/etc), fire extinguisher proper mount, remounted hydro's/battery. See ya this summer Bro's & Sis', Mother's Day Weekend AVI Again?++.......
