so the other day i scored a jet boat..been searching for a decent hull, foundation wise that wasnt rotted out and all haggard for sometime that was within my budget..the problem is that i have no idea who made the boat? and if its worth a damn? its sbc powered and has a berk jc-a pump...title says 1977[attachimg=1]

Look for a stamping of HIN numbers (Hull I.D.) molded into the outside bottom edge usually of the transom. The letters will tell you MFG. usually

What is the metal plate on top of the jet????

pretty sure thats a 1977 money pit. they made great hulls. a lot of us here have the same hull. i hope you enjoy it and post pix of your progress getting it ready for the lake/river.

the boat has been setting for 2yrs all the gauges work engine turns over but i didnt kno if i could start it out of the water? ... the engine is new and has never been in the water its a 383 with aluminum heads i have no idea about the cam...seats are in great shape and the hull is dry and solid no soft spots or broken spots...ill post more pics im away at workk now..the jetovater works well it functions and the wheel turns but i dont think i did bad for 1800..mostly needs sum serious paint work and im pre sure the pump does with the amount of silicone on it , are pumps tough to rebuild? so wat hull do you think it is again and if i remeber right the numbers where on the left side under the rub rail not the right but i cant make anything out of it...
