When I put one in my Saguaro, it was night and day difference in handling for the better.
Many Rogers came with them.
I'll probably never own a boat without one.
In fact, my Hallett cruiser will be getting one when I redo the floor in it.
I guess a few people have cut them off, for reasons unknown to man, or monk....

I removed mine last year when I added a shoe/plate.... rides better with the shoe/plate.

Once it was removed and the glass was smoothed back out(reglass patch) from being pinched by the mounting bolts for 40 years...there is a smooth flow for intake now and with the shoe/plate steers/response is better. It used to feel like a giant wave runner...
