Jacuzzi WJ or YJ

Is the original missing or just need to be gone through?

There is no motor or jet. About 15 years ago my Dad was having a friend of his who was a professional boat racer rebuild his 460 Ford and he was going to do something with the jet too. Well, his friend ended up getting killed in a boating accident and my Dads motor and jet were never heard from again. So all my Dad has is the boat with no motor or jet that has been in storage for years and he was going to just trash the thing until I told him I want it. Now Im looking for a 460 Ford motor and the Jacuzzi Jet. Sorry for the long story.

Got some pics of the intake and transom? Maybe someone will be able to recognize which Jacuzzi drive you need. Won't be me. 460's are pretty easy to find tho, depends on how much work you wanna put into it, and what you want out of it though as to where we might be able to steer you.

I think Chromey has a complete WJ for sale doesn't he? 3 bones is what I remember. The engine, well, Lakesonly, Ralph, Jim Brock, and well, me as of late, have a few layin around in various stages from complete runners to needing complete overhauls. Depends on what you want and what you wanna pay.

Thanks for the reponses guys. Sorry, I dont have any pictures of the boat. I was probably 7 or 8 the last time it was in the water.  Im actually gonna check the boat out in a couple weeks. Its in storage (outside) about an hour from me. Im afraid what its going to look like. It HAD been re-painted, re-carpeted, and re-upholstered while the motor was being worked on but it has been outside in the baking sun for close to 4 years and i guess the sun ate away at the cover and most likely the upholstery and paint (I HOPE NOT).

I would like to get a 460 Ford that is running great and ready to go. The boat is set up for a jacuzzi jet so I dont know if additional work is needed to throw a Berkeley jet in. Im sorry I dont know much about this stuff.

Just a little background story....Getting this boat running would mean THE WORLD to me! I am now 30; growing up and going to the river with my Dad were some of my most fond memories. Unfortunately through my teen years my Dad and I really grew apart. Well, 8 years ago my Dad was diagnosed with brain cancer, a year after having a kidney removed due to kidney cancer. Through only a miracle my Dad is still alive. His battle through his cancer treatment and the fight of his life brought us very close. I would love nothing more than to get his old boat out on the water again and have him there with me while I still can. I appreciate any help/advice anyone can give me.

Call "The Mustang Depot" In Riverside... They can help you with a Ford Build. The helped me with my 460 when it blew up. Now it is a solid 557. They are Ford pro's over there.
