Don't have a diagram on this PC, but pretty darn simple...
From the jet pump to a gate valve,
from the valve to a tee,
from the tee to the front of the motor 2X,
from the t-stat housing one goes to the Bassett valve inlet, other to a dump line' overboard,
from the outlets (2X) of the Bassett valve to the header water tubes....
Start boat and open frosty adult beverage. Don't touch anything hot and enjoy....

Do rewarder headers need a valve as well I am assuming so. My neighbor al most had a bad day.
Routed from gate valve to a 4 way, one going to each header, one goig to each inlet on water pump cover. (460) that's it. Both outlets on intake manifold plugged. I think I might have saved the day.
I said hold on let me change a few things. I wAs right and hopefully find a valve soon.

Yeah....you saved his ASS! Yes, Rewarders need a valve as well. I have learned since though that Rewarder valves have a softer spring than Basset valves. on STOCK engines, not an issue, but if there's serious compression, and/or a serious cam involved, the valve is mostly a useless T fitting. THEN you need a driver controlled valve, or at least a valve to limit water to the headers, to turn water on/off.
