yeah you caught me no these have some small pitts so i wanted to get new stuff at start over and hope for a better finished product,this is another great example of how my boat builder screwed me he promised it would shine like new at this point i might just powder coat it

Just chrome it , That will fill in those little pitt marks, and you wont have to repolish it all the time ;D

is it possible to chrome it ? and if so will I have to do the rest of the pump to match ?

I have no idea, I was being a smartass, sorry. But, if they can keep the plating out of the bearing surfaces it might work ??? . Might be worth checking with a chrome shop or a good pump builder and ask if its been tried. :-\

All I got right now is dirt bike parts and riding gear. Riding gear is almost new. Walther P22 Pistol or Winchester 12ga pump shotgun.

Even if you buy a new pump, it's still going to have some small pits in it! It's a casting!!! It is impossible to get a perfect/flawless product with a casting!!! You are nuts for trying to sell those because they have some small pits in them!!! You either have more money than you know what to do with, or you're half retarded!!! :screwy:
BTW, aluminum can be chromed. I even saw a chromed jet pump on eBay not that long ago. It's a tricky process though, and very easy to F'up. I personally like polished aluminum better than chrome anyways.
Since it's already polished and you don't like it, I would get it powder coated. That would be really slick and would still have a great shine to it because of the polished surface underneath.
Good luck with your sale anyways. How much are you looking to get out of it?

im really looking to just replace just the bowl I know its a casting and will have small pitts,but ive seen others that look much beter than mine,as far as the price goes if you have to ask how much you know the rest ;)

jrod2u, sounds like you only know 1/2 the story.
From what I have been told, this has been smoothed over between 82daytona and the builder mentioned, so it has been squashed and doesnt sound like you should be getting involved at this point.
