Header covers are 5" across the back 8 1/2" long and they are the velcro type.

Check USPS, if it's no more than 36", the post office has boxes they'll give you. Shipped a san spike to Vegas for another member for $12. Would be a bit more, I'm sure that pump shaft is more than 6lbs.
