Slightly higher X dimension will provide less bow lift.

Really depends on what your hulls needs are.

I wouldn't say there is an advantage from one over the other, just your requirements.

Your going to find that most of these boats as far as droops,  shoes,  loaders and nozzles is very trial and error,  not really any of them are the silver bullet that works every single time.

what would you recommend for less bow lift on a tunnel hull? (19ft Texas tunnel)

Pretty loaded question.

What is the set up now and why do you think less lift is needed?

IOW, what's it doing/not doing that makes you think it needs a change and what have you dive to try and solve it.

May want to start a thread of your own.

The straight snoot could be the answer,  all we need now is the question.

Sorry Jason.

front sump oil pan and I'm running a droop. I just don't want the bow coming up much since it's a front sump

Wouldn't it be easier/safer to change the pan?

Just curious.

No prob at all Glen...   Good points...

Generally the straight snoots work better on tunnels where lift is not the issue as much as leveraging the thrust farther back.....    I have seen several guys using them on non tunnels as well with good success..  I would think they are more efficient by not "bending" the water,   But I am no expert....
