Edlebrock heads and more 455 olds

When you figure in the cost of new mounts, flywheel, exhaust/intake dizzy, alternator, oil pan etc. the cost diff might not be so much. But if you are seriously trying to make 650+ HP from a BBO, there are no cheap routes. Why not build a <600 HP Olds and live happily ever after? Or put some squeeze to it with a turbo/blower. A true 700 horse motor can be a bit of a maintenance monster.

Well BBC's are like assholes. Everybody has one. Sorry you aren't gonna build the Olds. There aren't too many of us still flying the colors. Hopefully you can get some good help/advice on putting together a good combo. Most everyone agrees on how to make an Olds fast. With the BBC you are going to hear all kinds of nonsense.

A Big-Power-Low-budget OLDS is as rare as unicorn spit. They usually exist in the mind. Now an expensive built one, THAT can be found lots of places. You know what they say about the diff between men and boys.

. I hate to break the bad news to you. It was going to be a let down either way. There is a reason you don't see a lot of big horsepower olds motors running around.

I'll just say I hope to read more supporting comments, instead of seeing it start to turn into the "Other Forum" Good luck with whatever you build for whatever reason. I'm still running a stock olds and I've had a block from Paul Kane for two years. Haven't done anything to it yet. Stuff happens.

Haha, these guys are eager for kill stories!!!! can't wait to see your guys boats this summer. I saw an upside down winger at Sams. And it makes me want one so bad
