It's the wobble roller trailer, it's got a Baby blue box tube frame and bare aluminum brackets with the big "bread box" square fenders, descent tires, brakes seem to work pretty good, has a spare tire but it's flat and has a two speed hand winch, I can get a pic tomorrow, but its pretty ugly..

A pic would be appreciated to get a better idea.  Doesn't have to be pretty.  Would be finding a new home at our place in Baja where the trailer for the IMP is most likely uglier than yours, and not very operable.  Thanks.

How ironic is it there is an IMP on it now? want the boat too?, I'll knock $50 off the price of the trailer... ;D

LMFAO!  That is pretty ironic.  Don't know though, I might just have to take a package deal with a pair or both pairs of the vortec heads....  The SkipJack and the "NoBucks" truck would both benefit nicely from that...

It's been rolled and sank, but it's still going strong...

For the record, I only have one set of Vortecs, but I can get all you need   ;D

Here is a pic of the Steering wheels in case anyone is interested...

I'm going to need a more complete list of what you have.  ;D

Did I see something about a 28" pitch prop ?  Is it a through hub ?   What others do you have ?   Got any duel cable steering systems hidden in there ?

Yes I do...we could even build or buy the linkage kit necissary to make it work great on a whacker.....It is in need of new lines, which it just uses compression fitting poly tubing.. ;)

No dual cable stuff though, you can buy the stuff so cheap I always just used new stuff for that.

I will get you a list of props over say 25" pitch..

 Thanks GT,

I wish I could just buy buy new steering for that thing (duel cable) but I haven't found anyone that makes a similar system anymore.  It is/was a rotary with one cable on each side of the boat (Morse command 2), it would be nice to be able to use the same cable holes in the transom (cables are beyond junk).

Let me know how much for the hydraulic system.  Everyone says it should have one on that big beast anyway, if I want to turn it under power.  :-\

I hope you have some BIG boxes (for shipping)  ;D

Can't you just replace the cables?, Morse stuff is still pretty available, I can sell you this hydraulic system cheaper than you can buy the cables, it will need a minor "go-through" but it works, took it out of a running boat to install auto-pilot a while back...

I have two helms and one hydro ram, should be able to make something fly (so to speak)...

I'll go and get some pics and see if its a challenge you want to meet head on...(it's a lot easier than you might think...)

Cables are listed as obsolete.  :banghead:

My only chance was to find a duel cable rack system that could mount the cables in opposite directions (push-pull). But I was told a hydraulic system would be way better for this thing (easier to turn).

Definately easy to turn with no feedback (you could turn the wheel with a wet spagetti noodle)..

Yeah, back to "ten foot tall and bulletproof" LOL, thanks, I have a PTO but it comes with the whole boat  :sly:  I don't have any extras though, I've been giving stuff to my racing buddy and I think he trades the stuff for beer or something  ??? You will need to know which one; flywheel, flexplate, late or early, you can use a flywheel on a flex with a little work...Tom should have one though (JBP)

As for the intake, I have a few different ones, do you know the Berkeley part number you need?

Otherwise I'll post some pics.

I have never used aluminum rods, I always used either powdered metal or GM "I" beams, so I don't have any, I went and checked for a PTO, they are both Olds (Old style and new style).

I'll tell you what, come get it for $400 bucks with the trailer and I'll fill your gas tank and buy you a burrito for lunch  ;)

Gotta tell you, we named the boat the Shitty Kitty, or since we live in California "el Gato Caca", there were some cats taking refuge in the cabin, tough to clean, let me tell you  :P  A gallon of bleach and a gallon of Simple Green and a 3500# pressure washer

I dun wanna spend $400 on something I plan to sink for giggles, Glen, are you and I both nuts? (What am I SAYING, I almost sank about $7g's at Mead)

The trailer might come in handy, but it looks about as fugly as the boat. Maybe launch the boat, toss the trailer on top, tow 'em out to the middle of SAguaro lake, or other, THEN sink 'em both? I'll pay the fine for pictures of that, ;D

Sounds like an SCJB event to me! Better than calling Brad up in the middle of the night in a drunken stuper playing, "I'm on a Boat"

Sinking a weedwhacker!

Yeah, but you forgot the burrito...Besides, I don't think this thing will sink, it has more foam than a mall snowman!  :sly:

And believe it or not, this is where most, if not all of my drivetrain parts came from for the Carrera, I'm sticking a 330HP Small block in front of the drive that came out of this boat, as for the crazy....RIght there with you...BTW I don't see anything wrong with calling Brad in the all hours to share music >:D

GT,
Hey buy chance you got a marine offset mount starter for bbc? if you do how much?

Assuming here...Offset being large flywheel? (168 Tooth)

Or offset meaning rear mount?

I have a rear mount and two straight patterns (153 tooth) but think I have a good marine drive housing at the barn, if I do, I'll change it out for you, it's a GM high torque (double wound stator) Marine deal, get pics this week, all fresh stuff bench tested ready to play $40, gotta figure out how to get it to you (heavy), if you go get a reman, I may be able to get the marine parts to you also (I can tell/show you how to convert it...

If you want the trailer lemme know, I think it measures 23' overall, but it's a roller trailer (no bunks) so would fit boats from 19' to 22' with a few simple adjusments, there are literally no welds on this trailer, totally bolted together, I am going to pressure wash it and hit it with some rust stop on Sunday, there is some surface rust that makes it uglier than it deserves....

I figure it is better to have the right part that fits the competitive trailer than to rig something up and have the boat wind up on the highway.  Towing it back from Cali it tried to leave the trailer both forward and backwards off the trailer.  Don't need it in any rush but I was serious about it.

I see you have some props?  Are they the small hub with the exhust over the prop or thru prop exhaust.  Do you have a 25 p cleaver and a 26 p chopper?   Can you send me some pics of them? thanks.

Just walked in the door, I will get an actual inventory of all the unneeded props tomorrow...

Hey GT ,I'm in Anaheim, if you find that rudder under all your stuff , I could meet you somewhere i n Anaheim or somewhere near by. I kinda gave you a small list of other stuff I needed but told you if u didn't have it don't worry about gettin back to me cause I know how busy u are . I'm assuming since I didn't hear anything that nothin was there that I needed. I'll try to give u a call and see what you still have before you come down.  Hey I better look at the date you were coming down ,maybe you've already been down here , in that case ......NEVER MIND. motorhome,

I am actually going over to the shop when it cools off (it's over 100* here right now) and I will go through some boxes and get this thing for ya.

As far as your list, what transom cover block off's are you asking about? are these for blocking off the exhaust cut outs in the transome for thru hull exhaust? if so I have none...

As for the T-stat, it really depends on the way the motor is built, if the engine is built to automotive specs, I recommend a stat, otherwise you can regulate the temp with water flow, (less crap to fail).

The oil drain kit is a piece of cheddar...you need to know the thread sise and pitch of the drain plug hole, I have used banjo fittings in the past. I do have the big fitting that goes into the pan then you can use a flare to barb fitting in the outlet, work OK but are a little bulky...

My battery boxes until I got this plastic boat  ;D LOL, have been welded into the hull  :screwy: so I dont have any of those either.

The bypass valve is something better bought new, just because, if you know what I mean. Try either McMaster Carr, or Graingers.

I will give you a call when I have it in my hand (the rudder  ;))

Not even a problem P-jet, hey motorhome, I would jump on this!, I think the box of stuff that had my Berkely nozzle in it with the rudder was taken a couple of months ago when they broke into my storage, I literally do not have it. If anyone spies a metallic blue and white nozzle with a polished gate (rudder blue and the nozzle white powdercoat), that is stolen!, reward offered for an address ;)

BTW, 109* in my backyard right now  8)

I only have an 18" and a 16" destroyer wheel (all stainless), I do have another ruber gripped steering wheel in the Shitty Kitty, but have not tried to remove it yet (been on there since 1974) but also a 16"er, no rudders, tried to find one for motorhome to no avail. I had some stuff eliminated from my posession to lighten my load (stolen) and I believe there was a box of rudders among the taken (had several of the large and small from doing Place diverter installs).

Let me know if the 16" will do you some good, would have to get it shipped in the next day or so to get it in time for the fourth. ;)

What ever you guys need just send him a list, he probably has 3 of them in there somewhere.  ;D

Oh, and Glenn, get back to work cutting up that tuna boat in the driveway before your neighbor calls the city.  :D

Well since you got no place to put it, I got Skip (Lefty) involved and he's getting that engine for me. So that's at least off your plate and not in your 'rage!

Don't happen to have an AT or JG bowl laying around do ya? (Don't ask what it's for, not sure I'm even right about this one)

Not selling any droops or snoots, I gotta figure out what works on the Southwind and what dont.

As for the loader, its for Berkeley 12JC and 12JG pumps, came out of my boat when I got it...It's the straight angle one...Works OK...Not inteded for really high horsepower high speed...General ski boat type dealio.

$30 and you can give it a try.  :sly:
