This might seem like a dumb question to some, but why would one want to cut and fab a split bowl out of a "C" insted of just buying a regular split bowl?

It's a secret ;)
If you look around a bit, you won't have to look too far to find out that the JC bowls are thought to have better flow characteristics, the vanes (called stator vanes) are a wee bit longer on the C's, which may explain this, I dunno...maybe...The bolt on's greatly increase the ability to "accessorize" i.e. snoots, extensions, wedges and so on...

Marlin, Glenn said it well (above) and over and above that the "Splits" A's,B's & Gs are getting harder to find Not to mention a fair amount are cracked in the stuffer area which is an expensive repair (welding and o'size boring , A new split Bowl is a fair chunk of change by comparison Tom

Tom, do you carry the straight snoot? I've read that with a heavier hull like mine, that a droop can create more drag than a straight snoot???

great idea tom....been waiting for someone with the know-how and ability to do this on a production level.
just like tom said...c-bowls are dime-a-dozen out there.....finding a quality split bowl is hard to come by.
i still need a split bowl. I am still running that split bowl you repaired over a year ago....its workin great actually,but should be replaced.
Just for shits and giggles, can you post a side by side pictures of a cut c bowl and a g bowl? i want to see the difference in vain lengths....i read somewhere they are different and thats what makes them flow better but have yet to see the actual difference.

Thanks Brad ! if you guys like that wait till you see what the Mill master cooked up yesterday , I still cleaning up the aftermath of the flying metal particals "Bowlenstein" 2.0 rolled off the rotary table yesterday . Features "finesed" exit vanes almost 1 full inch longer than a "G" bowl ,we may stuff these too haven't decided we can also custom make them as water,grease or traditional oil lube , all come with new bowl plug ,tail shaft bushings ,gaskets and have double drilled exits should have the next two back next week for photos I'll post pics of the C next to a G ASAP Tom
PS also have two new intake loader in the works ,one for Berk,Dom, AT and a SS style for E pumps , Prices will be very reasonable lots of other new stuff on the horizon too

I am new here, and was wondering if this flows better than a dominator split bowl.

Flow characteristics of my New Dom (non-extruded honed) bowls and standard Berk "G" Bowls are very similar , the converted "C" bowls a Proported to flow better than G's but I have no numbers or actual statistics to be perfectly honest Tom
