I need to know, but you don't have to tell; how much did the pan go for?
This one wouldn't fit my config because of my motor mounts but it sure looks nice.

You kids are all standing in awe of the sheer power of the mighty 455 ain't ya?   Ya'll keep your Chebbies and Furds.  When you need earth twisting, crank breaking POWER the only place to turn is the almighty Olds.

The engine came this way when I bought the boat. :-\  It appears to have sucked up a large chunk of wood that brought the engine to a sudden halt.  I decided this when I bolted up my big hi torque FORD and it shot out the wood on start up >:D  That or one could go with the theory that the piece of dipstick I found wedged in the main bearing caused it to seize...

Oil fill is in valve cover. Guess someone blocked it off.

cant really see it in the picture but the #'s here look to be 38M607055

It is a F1 for nickel content so is the strongest block.  Bored .040 cant feel ridge at cylinder top with my nail.

All is Great, thanks.

I have been busy with school.  I finished my degree yesterday ;D  Just 20 years after I started >:D
Now I just need to find a job. :sly:
