Are you talking about a P-trap?

Otherwise, I have no clue what you need...  :-\

Is this the part that keeps fuel from spilling out the fuel tank vent line. my boat did not come with them and when it is full it leaks fuel when I come to a stop.

On my 1975 jet boat that's all that was on there, tank - fuel line and chrome bulkhead. Gas would shoot out every time it took a sharp corner while on the way to the lake with a full tank. Maybe a rollover valve might work, venting normal then closing under the pressure of sloshing fuel. Idk just an idea. Good luck.

All I got is to use more vent hose and run it as high as you can in the hull making sure that there is on an inverted trap (upside down "U"). Otherwise you're a little stuck.

Or you could just plug the lines and buy some flip tops that are vented

I have Rex fuel fills on my boat and they do the same thing. When I bought my last steering cable at Rexmar I asked him about it. He sells plugs that stop the vents at the filler that would keep fuel from spilling on the gel, but he said it would be up to me to figure out how to vent the lines inside the boat out under the hatch. Didn't sound like he wanted to sell me the plugs or teach me how to blow up the boat by venting somewhere inside. Doesn't matter to me anymore since I no longer have to trailer my boat, marina has non ethanol at the pump and the guy running the forklift fills it up on the way to the dock before I get there.

Why couldn't you run a vent to drain into the carb if it has to?

found some anti surge valves on ebay. Plastic cylinder with a ball inside, when gas hits the ball it pushes it to the top and keeps the gas in check. Not a big fan of plastic but it will work for now. Thanks for the replies.

That's called a bomb.

The vent vapors are literally stoichiometric, meaning it has the proper air/fuel ratio to ignite and support combustion.

Now think of a major backfire ... Bye bye boatie.... :-
