Title: Scat Rods
Post by: 76 Bonneville on February 23, 2014, 08:30:40 PM
A set of Scat I-Beam rods (6.385) I bought over on PB a few years ago.
Thought someone here may be able to use them before I would.
$200.00+shipping

How sure are you that these are Scat rods?

They look nothing like the set I have in my 468. They actually resemble either GM Performance or Eagles. Mine actually have "Scat" cast into the side...

Do you know the part number by chance? Looking to build another immortal rat.

Thanks.

Hey Glenn, there are no Scat markings, but they have the dimple like the better Chevy rods.
Did Chevy make performance 6.385 rods?
They do have the ARP bolts and not the studs with nuts.
I was told Scat and never really looked into it.
Also have the 4 1/4 crank that came with the rods. It's 10 under.

Ron, did this stuff find a new home? Do you still have the 4.25 crank? was it iron or steel, talk to me bud. Trying to build a budget "back up" motor...  :sly:

Thanks

The Chevy Dimple rods had a tear drop shaped dimple the small end   not the big end
