I had a porposing problem too, then I added a ride plate and shoe. Sarted out at 0* on ride plate and now it sits at .75*-1* down, porpose all gone. The trim-a-steps were really down (5*+) when I got the boat, now they are at 0*. If they weren't already there, I wouldn't have put them on. This maybe speed dependent too. At how fast is the porpose?
Hope this helps

You talking about droping the rear of ride plate down a little ?
Speed ....25-40 probably . middle range speeds . Hammered down she smooth out for ya
-
Yeah, down a little, mine porposed at 30 mph+ and kept getting worse near 50. now its flat as a board to just below 60 mph (thats all she's got). this is an open bow too.

Im not sure if my ride plate will allow me to drop in rear . Im at work . Can't look at it . lol
-
Only pic i have of that area . lol
-
Looks like its 'up' from 0*, but hard to tell from that pic.. I used a 4' level on the bottom to start at 0*. you might have to add shims between the cradle and ride plate.

Ah ha ! That's a good idea ! I got her stored . As it's chilly in N.Texas right now . Gonna go get her this week and try and see what i can do w it . i know the front of it bolts flush with rear pick up grate of pump
-
I have a set of those tabs
-
Are you running them ? Or storing them :o
-
You can also shim down using nozzle wedges, I started with 4deg and them shimed my ride plate down and propose problem is gone
-
Different set up
But here is how mine is set up
I also have a 4deg wedge, but its not shown in the pic
-
That looks just like mine all but the fact it looks as if you have some angle on your ride plate . I've heard about wedge before but someone correct me if im wrong here but doesnt wedge place more upward angle on your thrust . Giving you the capability of taller roost ? I mean after all i have a place diverter and can play w nozzle angles . It's just a lot of work on the water to try and make her ride right . Lots of playin w trim angle and throttle . WFO and 3/4 to full roost it acts good . But that's a good way to keep Opec in business . Can't ski behind her ! Or wakeboard . Hell ...or pull kids on tube . I was told to try takin off droop snoot ....?

I have my wedge set to angle down, thick side up to give my nozzle more down angle
-
I guess the wedge can go the other way ....depends on placement

Yea, they can go either way. And I believe they start at 2deg up to 8deg sizes
-
Gotcha . Loose much roostability ? Im not all concerned w that but it looks good when ya want it

Don't lose that much, I believe the droop already has 4deg of up angle built into it, so if you put a 4deg on, it will be back to zero, I'm very happy with the amount of roost my boat shoots
-
Yea . im almost positive it's got 4° outa the box . I may try to zero it out if i cant get it by shimming the ride plate . I got a buddy w a glastron carlson using those step n trims . He loves them. haha . Dono . I can only find one on ebay . Takes two tho :-\

Feedback is valued my boating family . Thank you all
