Boat had a beam of 69 1/2". Made a cross bar that all the speakers clamp on, then put the Kicker 6500.2 Horn System on it. Those four speakers rock!

I think its missing somthing..... ah I got it, it needs more cow bell .... I got the fever the fever for more cow bell

Probably not gonna find a huge crowd on this site that can give a useful feedback on a tower, probably because most of us arent huge fans of the Wake Barges!
Welcome to the site!

The one thing that boat needs is .........
To stay away from my boat! ;D

Here's a question for ya....how did you find this site?.....and after you did so, what posessed you, a roll bar boat owner, to post here?
I have yet to find a respectful owner of a boat like yours. All have been dicks and assholes, and most are close friends.
The only reason that several are still floating is because I had a small boat that while beached...couldn't really sink when the wakes came over the stern.
That being said....you can certainly make friends here if you show respect....not in the forum, but on the water. Turn down the music and watch the wake when you're near other boats.....that's really all it takes.
Oh, and bring some beer. Not coors light, but real beer. Beer makes friends.

I wanted to get the opinion of the tower from some people that were not into the whole wake world. Most poeple dont like new or to be the first one to have something because somtimes people are to afraid to give their own opinion they follow the crowd.
And as to being a respectfull boat owner. I will say I dont care what type of boat you have, how fast it goes, how old it is, as long as you can have some fun and enjoy being on the water. I have grown up around boats all my life and have seen alot of the disrepect that you are talking about. Most people are good people but they just dont think of the other boaters that are out to have a good time also, most the time due to alcohol. So please dont think that just because people have a tower on their boat they are bad boaters.

I think he can stay ;)

IMO theres nothing really "respectfull" of this post. Dude has a boat, it might not be how you like it. Who cares? Theres a lot of boats on here that I can appreciate but I wouldnt go buy one, theres not enough seats and only go straight. This guy happens to like watersports, and that requires lugging around a lot of crap that doesnt really fit anywhere. So a tower kinda makes sense. If its not your thing just say something like "not something i would do, but nice job."
the beer part should be a requirement for any boater.

as far as the looks of it go it looks pretty sick.
it looks like it has hinges? does it tilt back? if not what is the functionality like? it just looks like the angle the rope would go out the back could take off someones head sitting in the back seat...it just looks that way and im horrible with angles :P
and yes wakeboard boats scare the hell out of me when i see one of their wakes headed right for me...but whatre you gonna do? its the river :)
besides i want a blown flatbottom one day and what do you think people say about those at 5am ;D

well seeing that this is my other boat here's my .02

i'm a jet boat guy at heart and will always own one and kinda wondered why you would post on a jet boat site (i understand to get outsider's opinion) but ultimately SCJB's is about boats and their drivers/pilots. so maybe we'll convert you :sly:.
i try to be considerate of my fellow boaters whether i'm in the jet boat or tower boat. don't get me wrong i like 'em both loud - open headers and music. i had switchable cutouts put on the tower boat so when i miss the jet boat (which is every time out :D)
your tower is a new spin (tubular) from the stock illusion tower  oh and Welcome to SCJB

Whats next, a discussion about the virtues of row boats :screwy: :screwy:last time i checked, this was SCJB, not SCWBB

I guess I am just Old S'cool enough that I love the simplicity and gut emotions that only a jet boat can deliver. I guess that's why I race cars and bikes from the musclecar era. But deep down inside I am a Waterskier who happens to like boats, not the other way around. I grew up with nothing but a jet to pull me, nobody ever had an outboard (back in the day) that could get me up. Any v-drive never had a ski towhook. O0
But there is a lot to be said about the wave boats. The seating, music, reliability, quality of build, everything is just superior to how things were done back then. They don't have any soul, but they are the mini-van of boating, if sales numbers are an indication. Y'all know they have HEATERS nowadays right? That really prolongs the ski time, but I know that Mrs. Crewchief is the only one on sight who is interested in actually strapping on a ski. Skiing does interfere with drinking I realize. But unfortunately, they do create huge wakes, that us freeboard challenged folks really have to look out for. They do tear up perfectly smooth water for everyone else.
So I really like both style of boats but I don't think I will ever actually spend the coin that a waveboat requires. And I'm also Old S'cool enough to know that some of you really need to mind your manners. Dude is a guest, a new member, and you guys bag on him like he just pissed in the punchbowl. Y'all see how much time Tahiti Girl spends here after the welcome you gave her. Or maybe she just doesn't wanna be seen with Dave. >:D
My work here is done. Drinking can resume now with both hands. Peace

Is there any advantage to a tower vs. a transom/engine ski tow? (for the skier?)
My wake barge daycruiser throws a fairly good roost wake, still scares the kids ;D skiis are always ready, just need a driver (or observer)
Daniel
Mash on it

for skii'ing? nah. for wakeboarding and someone who can actually do tricks? its muuuch better to have the rope higher.

There big advantage to having a tower is, for beginers the angle of the rope is higher so it makes it alot easier to get up. Also if you like to wakeboard since the rope is at a higher point the more Air you are able to get, more air means more hangtime to do more tricks.
