Title: steel gas tanks - $40.00
Post by: 75 fantasy on June 29, 2010, 04:40:16 PM
these are out of a sleekcraft jet boat i bought for jet parts. the steel tanks need to be cleaned and it looks like there is some seepage. i attached a product you can use if you want to clean & seal them yourself or take the tanks to a pro. dimensions are 36" long x 11" high x 4 1/2 wide at bottom and 7" wide at top, 6 1/4" from center of neck to edge and 3" from center to back edge. don't know how many gallons they hold. if you have any questions let me know.

Look to me to be a little less than 10 gallons each--volume in cubic inches divided by 231 cubic inches per gallon.
[(4.5" + 7")/ 2] X 11" X 36" = 2277 cubic inches
2277 cubic inches / 231 cubic inches per gallon = 9.85 gallons
