How do you know your getting vapor lock

I run one but its to help control pressure to my block.  My gate valve wasnt working for me.  Keeps the pressure at 12psi and steady water flow through my block.  No more water/milkshake into my motor.

Is your pump cavitating?

Completely different deal. This screws into the top of the bowl.

JBP has them in stock. I have used just a 1/4" ball valve before. You can also just install an 1/8" mpt 90 to flare and leave it open or throw a cap on it once the boat is in the water.

So it just a high side bleed on the pump to get the air out???

What is the symptom though Im curious.  How do you know its happening?

With a full droop you'll get an air pocket in there and the boat won't move for 20 seconds or so. The prime a jet lets that air get out.
