Hey all,
I am looking to trade any of the following parts for your knowledge of the lower river & how to run it. I.E.: places to go, things to avoid, hazards to watch out for, etc., etc.  Specifically around Blythe, but I'd like to learn about the river pretty anywhere south of Davis Dam.
Planning a trip to Blythe towards the end of July. Never been on the river there & pretty new to boating in general so I could use all the help I can get......
Parts are pick up only, I'm in Santa Ana.

Items:
1.Older model place diverter.  Reverse chute has been milled down. Decent condition. (TRADED)
2. Split bowl nozzle housing with 2° wedge. (TRADED)
3. Scoop, Harman Marine, aluminum, 4150, with 3"x6" spark arrestor, hold down & cover. Mounted once & never used so basically new.
4.Grant steering wheel with 3" long black telex adapter.
5. BBC ski tow, chromed stainless, new.
6. Battery tray, o.k. condition. group 24.
7. MSD box mounting plate & hardware. For BBC cylinder head. (TRADED)
8. Demon 'Speed Demon' carb. 750, with about 6 hours of run time on the street. Includes the fuel rail. Excellent condition

I can tell you some of the places to avoid. Should have some cool picture too. But I will have to do it later.

Im in blythe  from the 30th this friday until the 11th where abouts you headed north or south of the palo verde dam. My spot is north of palo verde and below parker dam i know this stretch of the river from dam to dam hit me up. What do you want for the msd bracket thanks Josh  oh food for thought the river is constantly changing so over the years we have to change our normal routes to accomadate changes. Also get a good set of polarized shades it helps to spot the sand bars and bottom changing it comes up quick.

Not exactly sure if we're going to be south or north of the PV dam. Gonna be in Blythe for 5 days at least so hopefully both. Definitely would want to pick your brain a bit .  Sounds like you know your stretch of the river pretty well… Thanks for mentioning how the river changes, and 'routes'.
That's the info I'm looking for, like routes or the lines to take going through sections of the river.
The MSD bracket is yours.  Don't want any money, just a bit of time…

South of the 10 is easy cruzin. Put them polarized shades on and enjoy the ride. There are a few shallows but you'll see the brown coming. North of the 10 there are definitely lines to take, it's changed even from last year. Sand bars that were there are under water or just somewhere else etc. keep an eye for the brown again. I run the when in doubt pin it theory and it's worked pretty good.

Spectra, Thanks for the info.  I getting that south of the 10 would be a 'safer' bet for a first timer?  How far down do you go?

South would definitely be a safer bet. I usually don't go much past McIntyre due to fuel. But the further you go it gets pretty awesome sight wise. Usually less traffic too.
