In response to Plesh's post with the videos. Since president's day weekend is over, the title of the thread is "Who's going?" and no one who went seems to be interested in posting pictures etc. I figured I would support my post earlier in the thread about the jet's hanging in there with the props. Except in the fueler level of competition of course... Last I heard the jet speed record was around 207 or so? they're not too shabby. Plesh started it. I am merely contributing.

No. I know BAE 557's jet boat does like 152 mph, but there are faster than 152 mph capsuled jet boat's, I just don't know how much faster. Yesterday someone was claiming 163 mph with their capsulled jet boat on a different forum.

176 was Smokin' and Strokin- David Strickland. Running an Aggressor impeller in an AT pump. He folded the vanes right out of the AT bowl with the flow coming off the impeller.

That's the current record. So I was wrong. I confused the 207 with the line below it. They ran almost an identical ETA but the MPH was WAY off.
