Anybody got the hook up?
I need (or think I need) a 100mm piston (3mm over stock) for an '88 XR 600R Honda. I would also be will to entertain a used jug with a good piston. This one hot seized and stuck a ring, I think I can save the cylinder but the piston is a paperweight.... This is not a Nikasil sleeve, I have a motor out of a 1995...
I will be dropping the cylinder off at the machinist tomorrow afternoon.
Anybody got a hookup with LA Sleeve or something?
Got a Honda here that needs some love and the only way momma will let me ride again is if I can do it n the cheap and not race anymore. (Haven't told her, but I'm too damn old to be doing that crap anyways). Just want a good running dual sport to screw around on.
Thanks in advanced Yo.
So far it looks like I can buy everything I need from my local dealer for about $200, that's a piston and a top end gasket kit. Love to beat it just because... :sly:

I'll call my guy I get all my stuff from when I build quads and see if he can get that piston kit. I imagine he can and for a decent price. U need piston, rings, pin and Bearing?

Is getting closer. Frame is being powder coated, I just got front and rear spoke kits to relace the wheels, the motor is back together, just final assembly.
I don't ride too much at Hollister anymore, it will mostly be used as a private trail and street rig.
And it only weighs 280 lbs. ..8)

Lol I was teasing ya bout the 350.
I have been to Hollister. Its kinda small has its pros and cons.
I mostly go to Stonyford. To me nothing on Earth can beat it.

May just have to check that out. I used to ride up in Redding and quote a lot in Oregon on Forestry roads and fire trails. I'm not nearly as hard core as I once was. I just like to take a gentle putt once in a while. When I was younger, I would ride so far over my head it normally ended with either a broken bike or bones. I can't afford to do that anymore.
With age comes wisdom, I guess.

Yeah I hear ya. Ill be there one day. I started slowing down already. I soon will be chasing my lil ones around so my fast days will for sure be gone soon for sure.
Yeah checkout "Stonyford". Thats the last lil town you go through pop under 1000 before you finish your drive into the mountain. The actual place is called Fouts Springs in the Mendacino National Forest. Up hw5 till you get to Maxwell exit head left 1 hour into the hills

Hell I just paid nearly $200 for just the new piston alone in the CZ. But it does have a lot of pretty holes in it that the old one didn't have. Im gonna like the holes in this piston. Got me a Hemi head now too LOL.

Not sure of make, but probably Kolbenschmidt. CZ won my class overall in 2014. Going to do a restore on her while I race a Husqvarna 390 OR this year. This Sat. is race #4 in 29 Palms. Im thinking about driving down to Parker from the track on Sat afternoon. I heard there will be beer there.
