Title: need help on a quad for plesh.
Post by: bkplesh on December 09, 2008, 04:36:10 PM
I've been looking for a 90 quad for my son. I've been looking at e-ton's and polaris's. Priced from 900 to 1100. I think a want to stay with a two stroke quad.  Or is they a better quad cheaper?

get him a blaster. they can be modded when he gets a little older so you dont have to buy another quad to keep up with his ability.

we ride almost everyday and some of the younger kids all ride blasters

that might be to big for him. He's only riding a small 50 now. And he's 7, 42 to 45 lbs

The Suzuki lt80 is a Great Quad, also LT-Z90 or even better the Honda TRX90X    The Honda will run till the end of time, will cost a little more but it will hold its value for when you are ready to upgrade.   The E-tons are cheap imitations that will not last, the sand will kill them.  Sand is hard on Blasters and they are air cooled. Not the Greatest. Over my 17 years of going to Glamis and Dumont I seen my friends Buy Blasters and Blow them up many of times. They just cant handle the pain of High Rpms that the sand brings.  Thats just my 2 cents.

Check out this site       http://www.ctracing.com/    Talk to Allen and Tell him Shaun From East Whittier Glass sent you. Hes got great advice. Did the motor on mine and other parts.   ;D

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy a cheap Chinese built POS.  Buy from a name brand company!

ya the chinese stuff is shit. there only good if you're buying a 50 cuz they're cheap and when you break it you just buy a new one. i would go 4 stroke, just because thats where this revolution is going. i know all you 2 stroke die hards might get offended, as i love the smell and powerband of a 2 stroke, but all technology is going into the 4strokes.

not to mention, he is 7, and it will be alot easier for him to learn how to shift a 4 stroke rather than looping a 2stroke when he dumps the clutch and never wants to ride again.
