Yep beautiful floater!! It amazes me even to this day how much the "little" stuff kicks the wallet's ass. Nickel and dime just isnt the correct term anymore.

So reviving and old thread, while out at Lake mead doing a little racing last summer I broke a poly lock and wreaked havoc on my motor.  Happened to be hanging out in the garage when I got home with some buddies and noticed a dent in my valve cover. Pulled it and saw two rockers had come off the studs, ended up exploding a lifter so bad it was in pieces.  Had to replace the cam, lifter, new rocker all within a week to make the last trip of the year at avi.

Had tons of help from art (whosyodaddy), Hal (holorinhal), and b-rad to get this all done for the last trip of the year at laughlin.  Boat was not running right when I got it on the water and could not figure it out. Thought it was the timing so me and Justin (justelectric) tried to get it fixed but no bueno. So it was just a floater that weekend.  Brought it home and figured out that in our rush to rebuild we didn't torque the intake correctly causing the intake gaskets to leak so back apart the motor came

Had so much water that literally the rockers looked like someone took a water bottle to them and sprayed them like they were watering plants

Got most of the moisture cleaned out, oil changed a couple  of times and primed the oil pump to get some clean oil throughout the motor. And there it sat on the stand for 3 months (next to my wannabe project big c.i. motor)

So in the meantime, I started looking at other things I don't like. Namely my scoop. Never matched very well from the get go of getting it painted in town. Sooo ordered a new harwood scoop, tray, and mount from jegs. This time it is getting done by the legend Sam and I can't wait to see the finished product.

Well a couple of weeks ago had our vegas crew over for beers and shenanigans. And b-rad says why don't you run all AN lines instead of rubber?. Thanks b-rad. Sorry wallet. So now I will be running all stainless AN lines, fuel and water. I only did the fuel lines before but the AN definitely looks much better, more pics to come of those

Nice work Sean.

Now, I know you'd like to stay with the blue theme but don't ever ask me to trace a wire in that mess.  :sly:  That is almost as bad a finding a loom of about 30 wires in a motorhome and they're all white.
