Overall seeing that a lot of you guys wanna run your boats I say we make this a "unofficial" shootout. More or less to see how everyone stands up to eachother. If your interested post up your boat and fastest recorded or approx. gps speed. Then you guys do your call outs. Figuring this will probably be most of your guys last time on the water for awhile so use it to see what kind of winter improvements you need to do. And as far as time, pending how many guys we get probably shouldn't get on the water any later than 8-8:30. And to get the no shows outta the mix we can all meet for breakfast before we go to launch?! ALL RACES WILL BE FROM A DIG! No exceptions!

Guess Dennis and my convo was that Elsinore was for fun times only.

This whole deal is for "fun times only". If ya guys want to get technical  and argue about rules n crap, take it to the track. Let's just have fun with this.

I just want to know if we are following the rules, or not? Being you stated it was an Unofficial Event, and the list still changed there after. If we're not following the simple rules why have any?  I totally think rules and the ones I've seen are substantial; however, they're only being followed until someone wants to benefit by turning a blind eye from the rules. Now after reading that jim is gonna have a sit down to set some better detailed rules and some saftey, I believe this will bennifit SCJB and The top 10 list. As a former heads up street car racer dealing with rule bending for a decade or two I wish I was involved in the rules. But can't wait to see them in a positive way. Thanks Jim

unoffical event as non Scjb hosted event. I created the event to get some guys out there to run there boats. As far as call outs they can happen anywhere, races don't need to be held at a Scjb event. Like I said complete rule list will be set up for 2016. Need to get this deal settled up so it stops becoming a laughing stock. And as far as bending rules to someone's advantage please enlighten me on rules I bent to get where I'm at.

Onthenos, I think you got it mixed up.

You must attend 2 SCJB events. The actual races don't have to take place at the events. They can happen whenever and wherever. We will iron out the details tonight of if we require the race to be witnessed or recorded. Remember, this is for fun. I don't want a rulebook of a ton of nonsensical bullet points. Just show up, run what ya got, and have a good time!

Ok guys trying to look ahead into the November 7th shin dig, on the 7-8th the will be having the Elsinore gran prix which consist of closed streets down main and as far as I can tell the only spots it hits the lake would be near the canal that we are not allowed in anyways. Hopefully police boats will not be out. Trying to go through Lake Elsinore rules to find out what we can legally get away with and have found nothing legally saying side by side "drag racing" prohibited, considered it is after September 30th which means high speed zone is open. Jake, Corey, and David you guys cannot run considering all three of your boats are excess of the 150mph speed limit. If anyone can find anything saying different please share. Rules do state any boat in the excess of 80 mph driver is required to wear a life jacket and helmet. I know not all of us have helmets but please wear a approved life jacket if your gonna make a pass. As far as day activities we are looking to launch around 8am. Hoping water conditions are prime. All I can say if it's blown out worst case we go to the cove and kick back a couple cold ones with our buds. As stated above in previous post this is a open invitation and does not count towards the top 10 list. Unless you are on the list and would like to move up. I hope to see a lot of you guys out there. Should be a fun day at Elsinore if racing goes on or not.
