I got a question regarding "you can only call out two above you."

Does that mean that a boat/driver meeting all other requirements calls out and smokes #10, he/she can call out #7?

Does it mean that that someone can only move up two positions in a day?
Theoretically, is it possible to make it from nothing to #1 in one day?

Not trying to argue, I don't have a dog (err boat) in this fight. I'm just a little dense sometimes.

My understanding is if your 10 then call out 7. And I would say yes if everyone wants to race you can go from 10th to 1st in one day.

Man, this has snow-balled into something that it doesn't need to be. To me, the rules are pretty self-explanatory.
2 events, call out 2 above, lifeline above 80, head nod between drivers to start.

Then we never discussed tow vehicles? I mean wtf??? Then both parties must agree exactly 6 hours 23 minutes before the race as to if it will be a "nod" or a "shake" and whether the nod will include the customary one eye half way squinted. I get the rules and all that but I read something that we have to mention boat and motor combo? What if I start of with a stock BBC in January then all of a sudden I show up with a blown alky injected motor?
