The current available version of the iPhone app is buggy and the icon came out messed up. There is an update in the works thats pending apple approval. Thats why I havent officially announced its availability.
I will let you guys know once the updated version is available so you can grab it or update it.

For those of you already running the iphone AND/OR ipad app for SCJB, please be on the lookout for an update. I just got notification that the latest update I submitted just got approved by apple and should be available in the app store within the next 24 hours.
If you guys see it, please let me know so then I can officially announce its release. The iPhone 3 i was using for testing had the battery blow up on me. It literally expanded until the case popped. Go figure. Chalk that one up for another reason I dont like them. :thumbdown:

I can actually see the updated version (1.19.3) in itunes.

There's a banner ad at the bottom that won't let you scroll all the way down to access the subforums. This ad is not there in tapatalk.

Pat, I was able to duplicate this issue on the iPhone I just spoke of...yes, its tight, but its not overlapping. thats the 'quick reply' section. there is another way to reply other than using that area, but i cant remember and I now dont have an iphone to look how i did it.
Either way, yes, the ads dont exist in regular tapatalk, but i run the ads on this SCJB app to help pay for it - well, hardly help. I've made $1.25 in 2 weeks. This Mobile app deal started as a small project that turned into a nightmare and went way way over budget. I got too far into it to back out. As many of you know, this site costs me way more to run than the revenue it generates. I am trying to turn that around and offer more to you guys - its my goal for the year. Its baby steps. Koozies, hats, towels, dvd's, etc.....and remember, this is a 1 man show too.
On a side note, i am also putting together a very cheap/affordable subscription service that will remove ads from both the site and the apps, give you coupon codes for discounts on merch, and other offers as well.

That's a good idea...I would have no problem "donating" $20-40/year for ad free browsing. Several other sites did this....and it worked great until VS bought em...then everything went to shit.

This is a great site and although I don't post much I have learned a lot just by reading. I would be up to paying the 25 bucks a year to stay a member and also keep adds off the site, we need to get most of the guys to do it and that way it benefits everyone. 2.50 a month per member can go a long way!!!

Thank you for the feedback on the subscription service idea. I am nervous about doing it in fear of negative feedback, but the idea would be to not change anything for non-subscribers, just offer more to those who do subscribe.
