New Android App

There's a new version of the Android app in the play store. Its a completely new app. Has anyone tried it out yet? Give me some feedback.

I did the upgrade, and it 86'ed the shortcut. Then when I tried to use it it just keeps saying loading and nothing is coming up

Mark, Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

This new version of the app is for Android 4.0+...so if youre on an older phone, its not going to be available to you.

I am working on a update to the old version to fix some bugs in it and make it available for those of you who aren't on 4.0+

Brad, not sure is a bug or not. But I have gotten 3 different pm's, and it definately notifies me but I won't load, just keeps saying loading and that's it

thanks for letting me know. This was an issue with the thread reply notifications, but it was fixed. I didnt know it was still an issue with PM notifications.

I will probably be rolling back this new version for Android here shortly. Theres some stuff I really dislike about it thats on the back end, until its resolved, I wont be using it. I'll keep you guys posted.

So the problem is that this new version (lets call it version B) uses the same version number as Version A (the old version).

Google Play Store wont allow me to upload 2 applications with the same version number. Why is this an issue?

Well, Version B is only supported by Android 4.0+. I want to still offer Version A to people who dont have a newer phone with 4.0 or higher on it. Thus why GT Jets doesnt see it in the play store. Hes using a Samsung Galaxy S2. Based on my reports, there is about 20% of the people who use this App that are on a version of Android less than 4.0

In order to offer both versions based on what Android OS you are using, they need to be different version numbers. The company that compiles these programs for me wont support it either. I told them they better fix that soon because their new version B is useless to me.

The site is better. But the app is really convenient when you are on your smart phone.

I think I found a loop hole in the system with the issue i described above. I'll give it a shot in the next day or so.

in the mean time, i will leave 'version b' in the play store for 4.0+ phones. those who have 'version a' on their older phones, it will continue to work. If you're new and have an older phone, just sit tight. I will get it back available to you guys here soon.

Now there is Version A and Version B available in the app store. Those of you who have older phones, there should be an update available to you...as well as those of you who have newer phones.

Ads are currently hidden for all users and only displaying for guests. The ability to hide ads specifically for the SCJB Plus members on the app is broken. I will change it back once it gets sorted out. Enjoy an Ad free app for now.
