Title: SCJB got Spam Bombed

Some ass clowns from Tokelau, New Zealand got past my spam checkers last night and bombed the site with hundreds of spam posts for pharmaceuticals n shit. Funny part is the only section they posted in was the Outboard section.  :screwy:  :sly:

I've cleaned it up and removed them and all their posts from the site. The only downside is that it screwed up the recent post history if youre viewing the site from the SCJB App. I am working to fix the app so it doesnt happen again.

I seen that at 4:30am. I thought my eyes were screwing with me for a min. Some people need to get a freakin hobby/life instead of screwing around with the internet. Geeez

I saw those popping up around 11 last night. Is there a way you can set up something so if a single member reports it twice it can stop all posts from the poster until you can review it?

I've already got pretty extensive spam checking in place. 3 of them got in before they got black listed from registering more. There was several attempts to register more usernames but were denied. This is normal....usually 1 or 2 slip through the cracks and they make a post or two.....but this is the first time in 7 years or so that we've been hit this bad.

If this becomes a regular occurrence, I will act on it, but it only took me 20 minutes to undo what took them 6-7 hours to do.

I think what is being said is the outboard section got more action than a toilet seat at women's wine tasting convention. I'm just sayin. O0
