Yeah, mine is always dry and spotless, but I was a bit worried about a month ago I went up to Pyramid Lake for the day and while in line the guy behind me saw a few drops of water coming from the jet nozzle and said if they see that they won’t let you in. I was nervous now, I towed 92 miles. I pulled up in line and even to my surprise they even wanted me to dry start it, I thought I was done right then and there, you can’t get every bit of water out of the bowl. I always get a clean pass going through Vidal heading home from Parker. My boat sat for two weeks until I decided to have a one day outing at Pyramid. I fabricated a cover that wraps around my forward / reverse bucket for towing with a LED light on it and it’s lined with cloth, so when I fired it the few drops of water most likely got caught by that cover and saved my day. I think it’s ridiculous how anal some places are getting over this Quagga/Zebra mussel. I had a chance to speak with a Marine Biologist about this thing, and he said there is nothing they can do to stop it from spreading, perhaps just slow it down a bit. They are so anal about a few drops of water, what about the 2 ½ gallons of water in my block and heads?, as soon as I fire it up it’s going to toss that right out the dump into any body of water I’m in, so who are they trying to fool, or is it just about the money again?
