I haven't been out to Elsinore since I was a kid.
Was planning on goon out there some time real soon.
Do you need reservations to get in on bust weekends? What's the deal there

You don't need nothin but launch fees. Even on 4th of July they didn't shutdown launching... It gets busy but not too bad. Just make sure you skim the rules: 35mph, no speed limit zone closed on weekends, no towing inflatables and drive counter clockwise around lake. That's most the major ones.

Elsinore can get busy but I doubt you will run into parking problems.  Sundays usually seem busier than Saturdays, dunno why.  La Laguna should have given up a half dozen to make their new rap a whole lot more user friendly.
I was out there last night after being denied entrance to Perris for the second time this summer because they found a single drop of water seep out of my pump housing.  We rolled in around 6:20 and the store was closed so the launch was freeee !  There was only one other boat in the lot or out on the lake.  Windy as hell on the way out but later it mellowed and I was able to flatfoot it for a bit.  Darkness came way too early, but I did manage to drive 3 different freeways without running lights or a ticket.

Every time I head to Perris with no tag I stop on the hill and check the boy out and shake it a bit.

The boat hasn't been in the water since May.  She pulled the plug and engine bay inspection both come up dry.

She put her hand under the diverter assembly and finds literally A DROP.  There wasn't even a wet spot on the pavement under, it was the first drop after having been parked 5 minutes for the inspection.  She found the one and only drop left over from a wash last week it seems.   She even insisted on putting the red tag on the boat even though I told her I was going straight to Elsinore.  Momma's don't let your kids grow up to be government Bots.

Thanks for the reply
I used to boat at Perris.when I was younger too.
But I hear Elsinore is where to go.
Living in Victorville makes silver wood close, but the same lake over and over gets old.

If I was going to Elsinore from Victorville I would plan to spend the night.  Lots of campsite available for cheap and you get to use the lake early before the traffic tears it up.  Plus the cove is getting smaller all the time so you are going to want to be able to get in there too.  Do yourself a favor and get on the water before 8 a.m. if you want to haul ass or ski, or Gawd forbid gayboard.

Elsinore is a good time, don't let the green scare you away. Agree with above, if you want the smooth water you want to get out early or stay out late. All the time inbetween is spent at the cove. Good times and makes you feel like your somewhere other then Elsinore. There almost every weekend. See ya out there

I'm heading out there tomorrow. First time in 5 years since I've had the boat out.
It ran on the trailer, so I got my fingers crossed it does the same in the water.

Hopefully you won't see me sitting on the bow paddling.
