I'll be testing here today before next weekend. Wanted to go to Elsinore but we have some things to do today so the local watering hole is gonna have to do. Anybody gonna be doing the same ?

I live like 15 min from puddingstone but ive never been on the lake i normally go out to Elsinore to test. does puddingstone do boat inspection to get on the water?

They check for life vest throw cushion fire ext and they just started this year checking for water in you boat for the stupid mussel bs. I've been 3 times this year and when they ask where you last launched I always say here and noticed that they don't check for water when you tell them that. It's not the best since it's so small but I live about 5 mins from it and it does the job for testing. Where abouts do you live ?

im in rancho cucamonga so its 15 20 min away from me to go test unlike going to Elsinore that almost an hour away

Yeah I'm right by raging waters by the ten and 57. I test there all the time. Didn't work out today though. Hopefully Tuesday. Just an FYI they go by odd/even days. Odd is jet ski days and even is boat days since the lake is small

Do they hassle you there if you are running open headers?

I used to take my old boat there with open headers and only got hassled once by a dick water cop. He didn't tell me to leave just told me if he heard me crack it wide open he would. But that was also on a day where I was the only one on the lake

Just read your threads on Puddingpuddle, all is right, I'm local to that place too, right over in the Upland/Ontario area off the 10 fwy. I just got my boat project running in the last 9 months and I took it over to Puddingstone twice just to work out a few things. They really watch closely at the speed and noise if you have the look and sound of the typical hot rod boat. I was over there after work one afternoon testing and I was the only boat on the water making a few laps and getting on it hard a few times and "ranger rick" was pulling me over. He actually was pretty nice, but did say I'm a bit loud and said my speed was definitely over 35 but he said no prob. as for the speed because I was all alone out there. If you really want to test and also have some hassle free fun, Elsinore is the place to go. Down there they couldn't give two shits about anything, no one inspects anything and don't seem to care about noise or speed, you pay your $25 and have fun. I just wish the water was a bit cleaner, but it's gotten better, and it's only 40 miles for me. I love going out to Parker Ariz., but we all know that's a bit of a drive, so sometimes just for a day's outing I go to Elsinore, if any of you would like to hook up feel free to contact me, I'm always up for a day of boating and frostys... :beer:... :thumbup:.
