Have a great day. Will you post up current pics of the lake? I know the level stays consistent but just curious. How's the algae?
Thanks

Is Pyramid friendly to loud fast boats?  I always wanted to go there.

ive been  told (and i think its marked) that they have 35mph limit.  ive seen boats break that number.....ive broken it on my jetskis.  ive heard a couple 'loud' boats....not too many tho.  not sure if theyve been warned at all.
perris is strict when it comes to boat inspections!!!  have a towel with you and stop before you get to inspection area to double check your boat for ANY water.

I asked the same question on a previous thread back on 11-7-14. The answer I got was that they didn't bother you with the noise as long as you didn't do anything stupid.

It was an interesting day to say the least lol. It was my first time there and yes they are very strict. The water and size in my opinion is ten times better then Elsinore I was surprised.
The bad part was that my cousins ski fell out of the back of his truck going down the launch ramp and he ended up running it over in the process.

Surprisingly the water levels at pyramid are high, castaic on the other hand is horrible. As for the loud boats, my boat is pretty loud BBF460 with Over transom headers and no one said anything but i do have my baffles in. Didn't want to draw any un needed attention. The speed limit is 35mph and they are pretty strict about it but we were doing hot laps in the 60s without anyone saying anything. Just have to keep an eye for the Sheriff boat its hard to miss them and make sure your not speeding around them. If this weekend is hot will be out there again.

My neighbor is a Water and Power employee. He told me that Pyramid is a power generating lake. He said there is a lesser known lake that is not accessible, that Pyramid flows into after the water spins the turbines. They pump the water from the spill lake back into Pyramid. He said Pyramid will remain full to continue producing the juice. I like Pyramid lake. Clean, beautiful, just big enough. Never had any problems with the fuzz. Go EARLY if you want a parking space and don't want to idle in a 2 hour line.
