i hit a big rock above the ten fwy in blythe one year. Put a huge crack in my hull and sunk the boat in the mcintyre marina. after i hit the rock i went hammer down to get as close to mcintyre as i could. made it all the way to the marina and sunk it right there in front of the beach. anyway i pulled the motor apart and glassed the hull that day and was boating again the next morning.

boat is still floating and running like a champ and that was probably 4-5 years ago now.

its a nice Hull the back just sits really low in water there is about a 12 inch piece of the stringer that has rotted away about * inches in front of the motor mount

Snap a couple of pics of the crack inside and out and a few over all picks of the hull to give the guys here an idea of the damage. I'm no glass expert but if your local ill jam out on a sat morning and give you a hand with the glass work.

not really sure what happened I was on lakeshore drive side giving a buddy some fast and it was so rough it was just crashing over the back of the boat we flipped it around and tried to get the water to pump out but it was coming in faster then we can get it out and I said shit got get off this side before it sinks went to take off and all water rushed to the back and next thing I new it was nose up about 100 yards from shore. I will try to get some pics this weekend and I live in Elsinore on the lake

Not to add insult to injury how much did it cost to get it back? Did it sink to the floor? This has always been my biggest fear. What did you learn from this or how to avoid it? Dont float a non-moving jet boat?

300 to get it out plus 200 to save motor and that was me and a few friends getting it out but had to hire a professional diver to find it there is just certain water jet boats are supposed to be in and that day and time wasn't it I'm still
bumming about it

I don't know all that much, but a good extra set of hands to get you floating again!

Good chance in that lake it wasn't more than 15 - 20 ft. down.   But water visibility is about 4 inches   >:D

What's ironic is that there was no drinking involved in either of my submarining experiences.

grab a 4 point rail mount setup.  you'll thank me later.  its just SOOOO much cleaner, easier to pull the motor, etc.  as far as the driveshaft, the panther is pretty long... 1310 driveshafts for berks come up in the for sale section all the time.  you made a big change in your setup, now its time to grab all the right parts.
