actually, this was an idea i had as well when i started the site, but never got around to it and forgot all about it. I think its a great idea, thanks for reminding me.

I will do some homework and see if I can set up the base for it and let everyone know how it goes.....the more I type, the more I get excited about this project...i got some really cool ideas. This is going to be a huge addition to this site.

The registry is a spectacular idea .

As a side note : The info on your hulls can be obtained through your HIN # .
Unfortunatly the info your gonna get is , who , when , where it was built . Which may or may not be a surprise .
Other than that your going to have to ask specific questions that you want answered about your hulls .

This is actually a great idea of being able to pool the collective knowledge of everyone.

The problem we are all having is that most of our toys were built in the late 60's and 70's. Most of the companies that built them have been sold if not several times or out of business or have moved there company in a different direction years ago. Since the internet wasnt around back then and didnt show up for another 20 years or so, there is just a huge gap in the information available.

You can find a crap load of info on the boats from rebuild ands restorations (if you look long enough) that were done in the last 5 years, but trying to find information about the original builders will leave you lost in cyber space.

Brad, on a business side of things(as a web designer) I think that this would be a huge draw to the site(business) as the word gets around and meta tags starts showing up in search engines.

Off topic...but totaly agree, Just had a huge fight with them the other day and they are like "whatever"! Well see what they say when I start moving 30+ domains from them.
