Title: Getting IROC from PA to AZ
Post by: Horizonjet on May 01, 2013, 10:03:03 PM
My wifes cousin likes us and knows I loved her dads 87 IROC z28 and whe died a month ago and told me today I can have the car for free....  ;D
Problem is how to get it from PA to AZ and shipping by truck will be over 1000.00 or should I fly out and drive my ass off bringing it home.....200.00 in airlines ticket and then fuel and food for way home.  Or is there a better way I am not thinking of??????   Comments, questions????

I would have it shipped, less headache and chance for breakdown on the road. Those are bitchin cars, I've always wanted a 85 iroc.  Jealous:)

I may have a guy....  :sly:

A really good friend of our family does auto transport as a job/hobby... I will reach out to him and get his thoughts.

He brought a Jaguar XJS to northern California from Sarasota Florida and charged to dude $200 over the cost of fuel.

Let you know.

My Mom's got an HD autohauler I refused to let her sell at pops auction near Oil City, PA. (Not for $1500,,,, thing is HD and can fetch &5k here)

Anyway, she's sold some property back east, wants to move here permanently in August/September, and we'll be taking a trip with my 1 ton and bringing this trailer back.........

I had a Cutlass brought here to Phoenix a couple years ago from Atlanta. Cost me $850. Showed up on one of those "lead sleds" or "Hot shots"........1 ton pickup with a 5th wheel 5 or 6 car hauler...........just an FYI.

For the life of me, cannot remember. No receipts here for that. What I did was on-line and got quotes, shot the middle and paid them.
