Thanks for the reply! I envy the room you have to make that work. Something I noticed in your photo, you seem to have a different deal on the end of your manifold. What is that called and how does it keep water from entering the motor?
Update to the project.
I mocked up a 1.5" spacer and bolted it in place with 3/8" all thread. I was hoping I could add a spacer between the head and manifold to get a straighter shot to the thru hull.
Didn't work for shit, the left to right got better but it lowered the outlet of the snail so much its almost as bad now in vertical misalignment as it was side to side before.
So, again, any advice appreciated.
Not sure WTF to do. I get its an unknown whatever combo was in this boat before. I've only had Chevys. I couldn't tell you what other combination would be wider by approx. 5" side to side, total. One of you might though and that information would be great.
Also if anyone knows about Sleekcraft? I just would like to know what manifold they used on this boat in 1986, and where to get a new set. Brand new, in a box, asap,, if possible.
Any ideas, comments, suggestions or complaints appreciated.
