I get 5-10 spammers joining a day....and only 1 or 2 of those get to the point of posting something and I usually am able to shitcan their thread right away. I try my hardest to stay on top of it, but theres not much I can do to stop them.
Just dont click on the links.....thechaz, i hope your comp is ok....let me know if you need help cleaning it up.

Thanks, but they didn't get me, I just wanted to warn everyone else. I learned my lesson on random porn sites years ago ;D

it powers on, goes thru the motions, get to the desktop, and then after a few a window pops up saying that windows needs to be activated. but i cant get online with it to activate anything so its stuck right there. my icons dont even come up on the desktop.
-
And did you recently install windows?
-
i think when i was using it we had installed XP and the i let the kids get ahold of it they screwed it up then i tried to fix it and now its a paper weight ;D

Of course I'm ignorant to what goes on behind the scenes so to speak . I though maybe there was some kind of extra step to make these people not even want to sign up . Your doin a stand up job Brad and all is appreciated . I'll just have to keep on smiting fools .

Brad I don't know if you saw my post before you deleted the spammer post. But what I asked was is it possible to set a minimum logged in time before the new member is allowed to post. 30-60 minutes should be plenty to keep spammers from hanging around. Most anybody that is interested in the site will spend at least that much time reading before posting anyway.

I belong to some sites that you cant post anytype of url links at all until like 7 post or something like that.
