The site upgrade is completed. There are many things I am still working on to complete the upgrade. Things might not work here and there, but I should have most of it completed by the end of the day. The basics of the forum still work.

i got the bookmarks working again.....can someone please verify that all of your old bookmarks (before the upgrade) are there?
i didnt have any saved, so i am unable to check..

should work now. you are in a different permission group then most of everyone else on the site. i forgot to change it for that group as well.

Brad couple things.
The roll-overs don't work. I.E. when you roll the mouse over the post it will pop up where you can see what the OP started to write.
Also, this site takes for ever to load ever since you did the upgrade and sometimes gets "stuck" and hangs. Happens even when reply-ing.

Same issues here, Its been doing it for awhile now (before the upgrade). It got worse when that facebook thing showed up on the main page. I just figured it was because I'm on dial up. :-\

I haven't noticed either of those issues? I would suspect an internet setting or security software setting on your end. OC2 would know more about that.

Chromey has a valid point as well, The longest and oldest thread on here the girls STILL have clothes on! I thought this was an "Upgrade"?

the rollover thing was a bit of code that i added that got over written during the upgrade. i just need to add it back in.
the hangups because of the facebook thing on the front page is explainable. it actually runs a java script hosted by facebook. i been meaning to make it so its not pulling scripting off their site.
as far as the google ads. they shouldnt be causing any problems. it might be because you have some sort of ad blocking software/toolbars installed. ive tried some of these programs like admuncher...they caused more problems then they fixed.

What is wrong with people? They gotta find a way to try and fock up the worlds computers, and for what reason? Is there a Nerd Hall of Fame or something I don't know about? If there is, the charter members are probably in a Federal Prison somewhere. Some prize!
Is there something I'm missing here? Can't they just enjoy the expansiveness and information available on the web? Why do they feel the need to mess with it? I don't get the thrill :screwy:

i changed the code for the facebook ad on the front page. let me know if that helps with the speed of things.

hah, i actually forgot about it. ill fix that too...i'll also add any new games that might have come out for it as well.

is anyone else having an issue logging on to the site? sometimes when I try it takes forever and then says that the path seems to be broken and do I want to view a google cache of the page but even that doesnt work happened last night last time ???

are you just trying to access the site? or is it when youre putting in your username and password to log in?
when was the last time this happened? how often does it happen?

just trying to access the site my user and password are always logged in last night was the last time and a couple times on the weekend

and am i reading this right....the site is asking you to view a google cache'd page? thats really odd. can you take a screen shot (http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Microsoft-Windows) of it next time it happens?

the website was apparently down last night for some time. i wasnt aware of it. i got a few of the same reports this morning... im still looking into it.

sure can it never gets to the site just a white page with the google logo and a square box with blue writing that gives the option to view a cached page or try again or try later I believe from the shout box that cj222 is also having the same issue

Brad it happened at 8:11 and lasted for about 45 min I got a screen snap shot but it is too big and i cant downsize it (dont know how) if you send me an email Ill email it back as an attach

its cool. i finally put 2 and 2 together and understand what your browser is doing.
the site did go down at that time for everyone. they still cant give me a god damn straight answer as to whats causing it.
still looking into it...

just added a few new features...
you will notice that on the top of all the threads on the left side, you will see twitter and facebook icons. click on these and they will link the thread onto your facebook or twitter page.
also, i added twitter and facebook, along with myspace fields in your profiles.

so, after getting no where with my host for almost a month straight, i am moving the site somewhere else.
other then the site being unaccessable during the move, you guys wont notice any difference. Maybe a little faster.
im getting twice the server for a little bit less. i would have moved the site sooner, but its a big pain in the ass.
im planning on movin it possibly this weekend. ill post updates as they come.

Been doing it for years with no issues.
Actually, have had issues for the past year and a half or so because my local water and city sanitation have NO ON-LINE or automatic bill pay! Beleive it or not! Water has been shut off twice for non-payment, and I go and drop a $300 check and ask if they could CALL next time.......to no avail....lol.
Freaks me out, but been using such devices for 10 or so years with only one glitch a few years ago that worked out fine. Seems to me to be safer than swiping your CC at the grocery store.
Don't none of you's get any ideas now.......... :sly:

what Challenger is referring to is not getting his stickers from me. I own up to it and am ashamed I havent gotten them to him sooner. Also nancy boys and beav's stickers. I will get them cut out this weekend.

i know its petty, but if you guys dont point stuff out, how will i know its broken?
i just noticed that when you modify your profile, the box you type your signature is all jacked up...white background with white text....i'll fix that either tonight or tomorrow.

im sure a few of you have maybe noticed it....but theres a major issue with file attachments.
most of the attachments that were added to the site previous to the upgrade are gone. the thumbnails are there, but when you click on them there is no fullsize attachment.
i am working on getting this resolved. i thought they were gone for good, but after throwing a fit pissed off, i found that its an issue with the character case within the file names.

Brad...Its happened a couple of times when refreshing or clicking a link I get a 404 error. Only details it gives is

Most of the time it happens when I hit F5 to refresh the page. It happened when I clicked the link for this thread and once on Omars "I hate Mondays" post
